Windows 10 how to make the voice program priority one

hello there

my friend has the issue that when we play Heros of the Storm that he is laggy in discord or ts but not in the game

is there a way to make the voice program like the importent thing so it dosent lag?

What he can try is maybe increasing the CPU priority. But not sure if that fixes the problem. His computer specs are pretty good.
What soundcard or audio device is he using? Does he have a USB headset? What are the settings in Windows and Discord?
